3-CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
Based on the results from this mini survey, it is know that Of 93 respondents (97%) said they are satisfied with the CME workshop. Up to 71% of them mentioned the workshop help the improvement and updated new knowledge (47.9%), share experience (8.3%), benefit to everyone (7.3%), communicate with each other and make a friend (8.3%). However 26.1% comment nothing. Asked if the participants wanted CME workshop to be continued every year, up to 97% of them said “Yes”. When asked the reasons why they wanted CME Workshop to be continued every year, similarly, 40% said that it helps updated advanced knowledge/learning among peer. 19% mentioned that it help them share experiences/discussion with each other. 10% described that it benefit to everyone. However, 18% of respondents gave no comment.
However, when asked if there is no support for per diem and transportation for CME workshop, only 46% of all respondents mentioned that they will attend while 40% said they will not and 12.5% has said nothing. It seems that it is a bit difficult for some of them to contribute their own money even though they understand that it is useful and keep them refresh with new knowledge.
In order to become the ownership by all members, the positive step is that COS and CONS are willing to contribute some amount of money for the sake of everyone’s benefit through CME workshop organizing. The COS/CONS should seek fund from various government/non-government agency in additional to requesting the annual budget from the MoH. The cost of venue should be reduce and the number of topic and duration of workshop should reduce accordingly. The strengthening of networking with regional and international speakers is crucial. The important point COS/CONS should strengthen the management team through assigning task for its member to fulfill job accordingly.
The motivation of more active/young members participate fully in organizing/managing EME workshop. NGO should start the exit-strategic plan to hand over the ownership to COS/CONS handle step by step.
